A construction daily report (also called a daily log or field report) is a record of everything that happened on a job site in a single day. It typically includes weather, work completed, workers on site, hours logged, photos, incidents, and notes. Daily reports protect you legally, keep owners informed, and create a paper trail for disputes.

Each ConstruTrack daily report can include: work logs (description, hours, worker count), individual time cards (worker name and hours), general notes, safety notes, quality notes, incidents and delays, and photos with captions. All of this is compiled into a single PDF.

Yes. You can upload photos directly from your phone or computer. ConstruTrack automatically compresses images before upload to save bandwidth. Photos are stored securely and included in the PDF report. The free plan supports up to 2 photos per report; the Pro plan supports unlimited photos.

When you submit a daily report, ConstruTrack automatically generates a branded PDF. You can also download the PDF at any time from the report page using the Download PDF button. The PDF includes all work logs, time cards, photos, and notes.

Yes. Each project has a Recipients settings page where you can add email addresses. When a report is submitted, ConstruTrack automatically emails the PDF to all project recipients. This is included in both the free and Pro plans.

The free plan supports up to 2 photos per daily report. The Pro plan supports unlimited photos per report.

Submitted reports are locked — this protects the integrity of your records. If you need to add information after submission, you can create an Addendum: open the submitted report and click 'Add Addendum.' The addendum is a separate linked report you can fill out and submit, keeping the original intact.

An addendum is a follow-up report attached to a submitted daily report. Use it when you forgot to log something, need to add photos after the fact, or want to document something that happened after the original report was submitted. Addenda appear grouped under their parent report in the project view.

Yes. ConstruTrack supports a collaborator role designed for subcontractors. Collaborators can submit their own trade reports, which are indexed into the master daily report for the project. They get free access — you don't need to pay for subcontractor seats.

Inside each daily report, you can add individual time cards — one per worker. Each time card records the worker's name and hours worked that day. This gives you a daily record of who was on site and for how long.

Yes. Time cards are per-worker entries inside a daily report. You add a worker name and their hours for the day. There is no limit to the number of time cards per report on any plan.

Each daily report captures hours at the work log level (total hours for a task) and at the time card level (individual worker hours). Future versions of ConstruTrack will include project-level hours summaries and reports.

The free plan allows 1 active project. The Pro plan allows unlimited projects.

Go to your project Settings → Team Members and click 'Invite Member.' Enter the person's email, select a role (Supervisor or Collaborator), and send the invite. They receive an email with a link and join immediately via Google sign-in — no separate account setup required.

Supervisors see all reports from all trades on the project — same visibility as the owner, minus access to settings. Use this for your own foremen or PMs. Collaborators (designed for subcontractors) can only see and submit their own reports — they have no visibility into other trades' work.

Yes. The Client Portal (Pro plan) lets you generate a private link and share it with your client. They can view all submitted reports, photos, and work logs in real time — no account or login required. You can revoke access at any time from project settings.

Yes. The Client Portal lets you share a private read-only link with your client. They open it in any browser and see your submitted reports instantly — no login, no app download, and no account required.

The Client Portal is a private link you generate for your project from Settings → Client Portal. Anyone with that link can view all submitted daily reports in real time — including work logs, photos, time cards, and notes. It's read-only; clients can't make any changes.

No. The Client Portal is a Pro feature ($19/mo). The free plan includes email delivery of PDF reports to any recipients you add, which is the recommended way to keep clients updated on the free plan.

Yes. Go to project Settings → Client Portal and click 'Disable Client Portal.' The link stops working immediately. If you re-enable later, ConstruTrack generates a new URL — the old link will never work again.

Yes. You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. You keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period and won't be charged again.

Yes. ConstruTrack uses Google OAuth for authentication (no passwords stored), HTTPS for all data in transit, and your data is stored on Railway's PostgreSQL infrastructure. Photos are stored on Cloudflare R2 with access-controlled signed URLs.

Structured data (reports, projects, users) is stored on Railway (PostgreSQL, US region). Photos and files are stored on Cloudflare R2 object storage. Email delivery is handled by Resend.

You can download any daily report as a PDF at any time. Bulk data export (CSV, JSON) is on the roadmap. To request your data, email [email protected].

Only members of your organization can view your projects and reports within the app. Reports are emailed as PDFs only to the recipients you explicitly add in project settings. We do not share your data with any third parties except as required to operate the service.
